A search engine for dog-friendly places β built so you can find a brewery, park, beach, or hotel that actually wants your dog there.
Most βis this place dog-friendly?β search tools surface restaurants with patio seating where dogs are tolerated β not bars built for dogs, not parks with proper off-leash areas, not hotels with real pet programs. We wanted a tool that knows the difference.
SitStayPlay classifies every venue against 14 tags (bar, restaurant, park, beach, hotel, groomer, boarder, daycare, pet store, vet, dog training, dog-centric, dog-friendly, off-leash). A venue can qualify for multiple types β a brewery with a dog menu shows up under both βBar (Dog Friendly)β and βDog Restaurant.β The classifier uses a mix of Google Places signals, OpenStreetMap data, and human-curated overrides so the labels stay honest.

Premium placement is clearly marked on each card. We donβt change classification accuracy based on subscription status β a non-premium venue can still appear as βDog Barβ if thatβs what it is.
SitStayPlay is built and maintained by Stephen Bridges, an independent developer based in the Tampa Bay area, Florida. The site started in 2025 with the four βfunβ categories (dog bars, parks, beaches, dog-friendly restaurants) and has grown into a full venue ledger covering 15 venue types and hundreds of confirmed dog-centric spots, with the goal of nationwide coverage.
